Serialization in .NET considering streamsize limitation

seems to work fine Depending on the serializer, it may be possible to drop items onto the end of the stream independently (and have it still possible to read the stream back again). Not with "pure" xml (due to the root element), but I know of at least one serializer that supports sequential object read/write (no prizes for guessing which).
If size is absolutely key, then perhaps go via a MemoryStream - something like (pseudo code)

gcc std::istream 'error: invalid cast from type ‘std::streamsize’ to type ‘std::streamsize’'

This might help you If data is an istream, keep in mind that the member read returns a reference to data (the stream itself), not the number of characters read.
The void * stuff is probably because the compiler, to assign it to the std::streamsize member, tries to use the implicit conversion to void * (the one that is used when you do if(data) ...), but still void * is not a good match for std::streamsize.

Open a cross domain file - .htaccess limitation or fs limitation? node.js

seems to work fine I'm stumped. ,
Should I be using something different than fs?
code :
http.get('http://www.mydomain.com/uploads/docs/doc.doc', function (res) {
    // process the response, `res`, as desired

    if (res.statusCode === 200) {
        // Example, piping the response to a file on disk:

        res.pipe(fs.createWriteStream(__dirname + '/doc.doc'));
    } else {
        console.error('The address is unavailable. (%d)', res.statusCode);

Value of numeric_limits<streamsize>::max() in c++

may help you . While using cin.ignore() in c++, it takes an argument of number of characters to consume until the delimiter occurs. Most often I have observed the following to be used cin.ignore(numeric_limits::max(), '\n'); ,
isn't this a very large value exceeding my HDD space.

Is there a limitation about the quantity of repositories in one organization? And limitation about branches in one repo?

hop of those help? Regarding repositories, since 2016, the number is supposed to be "unlimited".
That being said, I am sure that "unlimited" is "within reason" (if you really were to create a million repositories, expect GitHub support to contact you right quick)

How to convert streamsize to other or how to pass streamsize value to vector?

I hope this helps you . If you pass a single integer argument to the constructor of std::vector (as in std::vector data(dataSize);) is will default-construct that many elements in it and its size will be the integer passed.
If you then emplace_back into it, it will increase its size, not overwrite the already constructed elements.
code :
std::vector<char> data;
streamsize dataSize = input.gcount();
if(dataSize < 0 || dataSize > buffer.size()) {
    throw std::range_error("dataSize has unexpected value!");
