I think the issue was by ths following , There is no magic bullet to 'unlazy' a collection. You would most likely trigger the SELECT+1 problem. You really need to perform an eager load on object graph.You can do this in your mappings, but I recommend

I hope this helps . Seems to be a problem with using .Select() as in .Select(x=>x) For some reason the cache is bypassed when using the select. Any other statements work fine like OrderBy(), Where() etcSample code below:

it fixes the issue yesterday I was working on the similar problem. I had to select/load all parent-objects with exactly the given list of child-objects. I could solve this with the Criteria-API, with only one drawback (see *1 below).
